This delightful Art Deco Bakelite Table Lighter dates from the 1930's period .... a heavy and very tactile piece, found
January 2006 on a local fleamarket one Sunday morning, a superb addition to the collection !!!!
Called The Classic Jumbo Lighter, very dark greenish black phenolic body with brown bakelite top and base, chromed fittings
to top and also the base, for flint repacement and petrol fuel. Nice feel to this item, measures 3.25 inches x 3.00 inches
tall, with a width of 1.25 inches. Various worldwide patents embossed on the bakelite base plate.
Late 1930's early 1940's Bakelite Table Fan, lovely old design, very heavy, made by CALOR, one of my favourite items
which to me evokes a scene in some seedy private detective's office? Sam Spade ?.
Brought over from Ireland, metal blades, and in working order !!...more details to follow

From the 1950's period a cream coloured Ivalek Bakelite Crystal Set, nice novelty item which powers itself
via the incoming radio waves with the aid of a crystal, long aerial wire, earth and headphones required ( not obtained
yet ) in order to listen to this set, tickling the crystal as is the term, hopefully with patience brings in some stations
... urea formaldehyde body, the size of the image is more or less the size of this
quaint set. Recently obtained from Ireland.
